Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay has spoken after his injury-time brace helped the Red Devils come from behind to beat Brentford 2-1.

McTominay was brought on as a substitute in the 87th minute of the game as Manchester United hosted Brentford at Old Trafford, with the Red Devils trailing 0-1.

And the Scotland midfielder was the hero, scoring a goal to make it 1-1 in the 90+3 minute and heading home a 2-1 lead in the 90+7 minute before scoring the winning goal to help United secure three important points after previously losing two consecutive home matches in all competitions.

“I think we have very good players so they will always have interest from other clubs. If you score 10 goals in a season and do well for Scotland, it’s no wonder there’s interest,” Ten Hag said.

Last summer, United rejected a £30m bid from West Ham for McTominay but believe open to considering a £40m offer.

McTominay impressed last season, scoring 10 goals. But he has just one year left on his current deal, although the club have the option to extend it by a further year.
